About the Commonwealth Secretariat.
The Commonwealth Secretariat is the principal intergovernmental institution of the Commonwealth. It supports member governments in advancing prosperity, democracy, peace and inclusive development across the Commonwealth's 56 member states and 2.7 billion people.
The Secretariat is headed by the Commonwealth Secretary-General, who leads its work in trade and investment, sustainable development, governance, youth, digital transformation and human rights.
CEIP — the Commonwealth Economic Infrastructure Platform — is delivered under the Secretariat's economic cooperation mandate as a practical instrument for trade, SME growth, investment mobilisation and shared prosperity.
